US Gov’t Spying on Environmental Groups
January 24th, 2006[Jan. 24, 2006] Over the past several weeks it has been revealed that the Bush administration has undertaken a broad – and secret – spying campaign on US citizens. While ostensibly part of its anti-terrorism efforts, these spying and surveillance activities, in fact, have targeted many environmental organizations. In this week’s show, host Daphne Wysham explores this troubling development.
Guests participating in the show include:
John Passacantando – Executive Director, Greenpeace USA
Ben Wizner – Attorney, American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)
(or, directly to the spying files)
Jeff Kerr – VP, General Counsel, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)
