Beyond the Horse Race

America's political pundits are ignoring global warming. A recent survey by the League of Conservation Voters found that in more than two thousand questions asked in 2007 during the Sunday morning talk shows -- only three concerned climate change.
Today on Earthbeat host Mike Tidwell speaks to the League's Vice President for Political Affairs, Tony Massaro, and to Tim Wheeler, a long-time reporter for the Baltimore Sun and the President of the Society of Environmental Journalists.
After focusing on the journalists and the pundits -- the next step is the candidates themselves. Our guest is Bill Becker, the executive director of the Presidential Climate Action Project. This University of Colorado, Denver initiative is putting together a broad menu of actions for our next president to fight global warming within the first 100 days.
