Water Water Everywhere

In this encore edition of Earthbeat, host Mike Tidwell speaks to Virginia filmmaker Dave Eckert about his fourth movie in a series about healthy water titled - Reining in the Storm.
The Anacostia River flows through the Maryland suburbs and right through the heart of the nation's capital. Often the Potomac gets all the glory, while the Anacostia became a dumping ground for polluters. Glen O'Gilvie is the president and CEO of the Earth Conservation Core, a group that works with area youth groups to help clean up the river. He and youth riverkeeper, Nelson Moore, speak about a film that focuses on the program.
One of the nation's largest water treatment plants commits to buying one-third of its power from windmills and it says it is going to save $20 (M) million dollars in the process. We hear from Andrew Brunhart, the general manager of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission.
