The "Union's" Mistaken Direction on Oil and Maryland's Clean Air Act
[February 7, 2006] This week on Earthbeat, co-host Mike Tidwell takes the President to task for his misguided remarks on our country's oil dependence in his recent State of the Union address. Also, Mike reveals the very unholy alliance between the region's largest energy supplier, Constellation Energy, and the Maryland Dept. of the Environment. He reveals how this powerful corporation has colluded with the governmental body to undermine Maryland's Healthy Air Act. [A recent study by MaryPIRG found that Maryland's cities were among the most polluted in the country in regards to air quality.] Guests include Brad Heavner, State Director for MaryPIRG.
During the second half of the hour, Mike interviews guest Diana Dascalu of the Cheasapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) on the Virginia Clean Electric bill [Mike is the Director of CCAN]

Watch subject. Bush is forever saying that democracies do not invade other countries and start wars. Well, he did just that. He invaded Iraq, started a war, and killed people. What do you think? What is he doing to us, and what is he doing to the world?
If ever there was ever a time in our nation's history that called for a change, this is it!
The more people that the government puts in jails, the safer we are told to think we are. The real terrorists are wherever they are, but they aren't living in a country with bars on the windows. We are.
